Session: Protest + Print, Spring 2026
Artists: 9 high school students
Materials: pencil, paper, iPad, Apple pencil, screenprinting screen, squeegee, fabric screenprinting ink, shirts, miscellaneous fabrics
Description:
Focused on the theme of “transformation,” Protest + Print students took on the medium of screenprinting this Spring! Over the course of six weeks, students designed their own graphics, both digitally and with good ‘ol paper and pen; there were fruit, phrases, florals, and frisbees! In our spare time together, students even screenprinted their art on scrap fabric to make patches for sharing with friends and each other. To end our last session, instructor Miriam Klein Stahl shared a heartfelt letter of encouragement: “Consume as much art as you can. Find your people. MAKE YOUR ART!” 🖼️
