Session: Womxn in the Woodshop, Spring 2026
Builders: 16 adult womxn and non-binary people

Description:

We welcomed adults into the Girls Garage woodshop for a special session of Womxn in the Workshop! We received an overwhelming amount of interest and applications that we had to open a second section of this class. Led by seasoned instructors Evie Ortiz, Hannah Sawyer, Aiko Dougherty (GG alum!), and special guest instructor Lee Buchanan, participants worked on their own take-home project: a Danish stool. Though deceptively simple, this stool was a practice of precision, patience, and pattern.
