Description: At the end of this summer’s Young Women’s Design + Building Institute, once the mosaic pavers were done and the planter boxes and Adirondack chairs were wrapped up, our students turned their creative endeavors into creating a 2-color risograph yearbook zine. They designed two layers, one to be printed in each color, and their pages included their polaroid picture, their name, and a self-assigned superlative, like “Most likely to get lost while having a map” or “Most likely to ask for a ride.” This was our most ambitious risograph zine to date; we’ve never done a 2-color zine print with students, and it was awesome! One of the best parts about printing on the risograph machine is the way the end result surprises and delights, and this project was no exception.
