Session: Young Women’s Design + Building Institute, Summer 2025
Artists: 38 high school students
Materials: Pencil, erasers, colored pencils, markers, paint brushes, DIY stained glass mixture (liquid glue, black acrylic paint, cornstarch), 11” x 17” paper, 10 5/8” x 13 3/4” clear acrylic, 8 1/2” x 11” paper, risograph printer, washi tape, scotch tape
Description:
We transformed our faux stained glass art into TWO different robust activity books full of coloring pages, games, and fun facts. Upon finishing their black outline designs on the clear acrylic, staff scanned them in for book and printing assembly. In the meantime, these artists continued their work on the activity and info page that sits right next to their art. Students had fun drafting these pages, including games like word searches, crossword puzzles, mazes, and more, and fun facts like where to find their animal or plant, how long it lives for, how fast they can fly/run, and what they like to eat! This limited print of activity books will be donated to Adventure Playground for kids of all ages to enjoy.
