We’re honored to be featured on CNN’s Represented! During the last week of our Builder Bootcamp program, a journalist and videographer visited our workspace to meet our staff, learn about Girls Garage’s history, and witness our fearless young builders in action.

The “Represented” program  features initiatives around the country working to eliminate the gender gap and increase equity and inclusion. As they hammered and sawed and drilled away, our young builders proved the power of working together. As our Founder and Executive Director Emily Pilloton-Lam notes, “It’s my hope that going into the future, being a woman is not the exception, it’s actually a necessary part of this [STEM] workforce.”
