It’s Women in Construction Week! We are delighted to announce new and continuing support from our Cornerstone Corporate Partners: Arterra Landscape ArchitectsAshby LumberCello & Maudru ConstructionCustom Drywall, Inc.Endeavour Inspired InfrastructureHensel Phelps ConstructionKiewitMortensonNOVO ConstructionOveraa ConstructionSpringpoint Group, and Turner Construction. Our Cornerstone Corporate Partners are firms engaged with the built environment who are actively investing in the next generation of young womxn and builders.

These incredible corporations support our year-round free teen programs, pro-bono design and construction projects, and our ever-growing alumni program. Our partners don’t just talk about values, they actively live by them. They stand shoulder to shoulder with Girls Garage, bringing real resources and real opportunities to open career pathways for young women and gender-expansive people. Together, we’re building workplaces where diversity and inclusion aren’t buzzwords but rather the blueprint where women and non-binary individuals are the authors of the built environment.

Since our inception in 2013, we have graduated over 150 students. Over 62% of our graduated students have moved on to pursue degrees and careers in STEM or trades-related fields. The foundational instruction alumni received at Girls Garage from an all-woman and non-binary staff has shown young women and gender-expansive individuals what is possible in every workplace when they are respected and valued.

As we celebrate Women in Construction Week, we are feeling incredibly grateful for the community that makes our work possible. Through the relationships we’ve cultivated—and continue to strengthen—with these corporations, Girls Garage students and alumni have had access to internship and externship opportunities, workplace tours, professional development workshops, and so much more. Every year, we come together for a beloved networking mixer, where current students can learn more about career opportunities directly from industry professionals and make valuable connections as they move forward in the world.
