This 3-hour mother/daughter workshop is a great opportunity to build and bond, and make sparks fly, too! In family duos, you’ll learn the basics of MIG (metal inert gas) welding process, techniques, and tools, to make your own steel side table to take home. MIG (metal inert gas) welding is an easy technique to learn, with many tools, magnetic jigs, and types of welds to practice. The table also has a wooden top which will require cutting, sanding, and creative woodburning as decoration. This multi-media project is a great way to practice metal and wood skills in a practical way, and to do so in a collaborative and fun environment with your family member.
**While we call this workshop “mother/daughter,” grandmothers, aunties, big sisters, step-moms, and other adult female guardians are of course welcome!
Age requirement for child: 10 years and up
