Beautiful Trouble – 4:00pm

This art and activism workshop is focused on using creative tactics, personal voice, and graphic design for social change. Inspired by protest art and graphic design from social and cultural movements, girls will use screen printing, block printing and laser-etching to represent their own personal beliefs and the future they want to design for themselves. While not political in a partisan sense, this workshop will challenge girls to engage in powerful conversations about what it means to “make trouble, speak up, and stand out.” The name for this workshop is a reference to a fabulous book of the same name, Beautiful Trouble: A Toolbox for Revolution.
