We are proud to wrap up what has been a jam-packed summer of classes and workshops! Over 6 weeks, 103 girls and women joined us to design and build 15 projects for 2 wonderful community partners: Women’s Daytime Drop-In Center and Refugee Transitions. Check out the work that these great organizations do, and see photos of all the projects on Flickr! We were thrilled to watch as girls built friendships, confidence, and skillsets, all while thinking critically about the impact of their building. We also had a lot of fun carrying out two days of Unprofessional Development workshops with Bay Area educators to help them prepare maker-based instruction for the school year. As students head back to school, we look forward to building more community-serving projects this Fall!
